He did his schooling from Jorhat Government High School and passed out his matriculation examination in 1959. He was quite determined from his childhood to bring a remarkable change in his society as he was being raised in a very respectable environment. He completed his Intermediate Science from Cotton College in 1961, taking the Science stream which he was quite passionate of. He resided in the Third Mess of the Cotton College from where he has completed his Intermediate science course.
He publishes his experience in the Third Mess of Cotton College in the magazine Reverberation” where he spent his days with great personas such as Late DambarudharGogoi, Late RajanikantaDev Sharma and many more.
He pursued his MBBS degree from Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh in 1966 and Diploma in child health from the same medical college in 1969. He received his MD in pediatrics from K.S Children’s Hospital of Lady Hardinge Medical College, Delhi University in 1971. He is also among the founding member of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP), Assam State Branch in 1977.
He worked as a resident physician for a period of 2 years in Guwahati Medical College. Presently, he is serving as a Child Specialist cum Neonatologist at Bora Children’s Clinic, located in R.G Baruah Road, facing the Guwahati Commerce College. His clinic caters to all the needs that a Pediatrician requires with all the modern equipment. With a separate waiting room and consultation area, he serves various medical services related to Pediatrics which includes General Pediatrics.
Located centrally, his clinic can be reached from the major hotspots of the city through all major transport systems. His timings for his clinic vary from 9:30 A.M- 12:30 P.M and from 4:30 P.M- 7:30 P.M. While on Sundays, his clinic opens from 9:00 A.M-12:00 P.M His clinic is dedicated entirely for the development and betterment of child health.
